MIAMI – Surveillance video has been released in the case of three TSA agents who were arrested for stealing from passengers as they went through security at Miami International Airport.
The video appears to show those TSA workers taking money from the passengers.
Local 10 News first reported on the trio of agents, 33-year-old Labarrius Williams, 20-year-old Josue Gonzalez, and 22-year-old Elizabeth Fuster, back in July.
On Monday, surveillance video was released from the State Attorney’s Office as part of discovery, showing those agents working security at MIA on June 29.
Investigators have not confirmed where the thefts took place in the more than 20 minutes of video, but in a clip partially labeled “$800,″ an agent is seen fiddling with a small bag and appears to pull out a wallet.
He stays with that bin down the conveyer belt until he pushes it through, before putting his hand in his pocket.
In another clip labeled “Gonzalez $600,″ two TSA agents are focused on the corner of a bag inside of a bin.
One appears to quickly pocket something there.
Investigators said they worked together to steal from passengers during the screening process.
According to an arrest report, MIA’s federal security director contacted Miami-Dade Police Department detectives about recent ongoing thefts at the security checkpoint in Concourse E.
The three were hit with charges of organized scheme to defraud. Police say two of the suspects, Williams and Fuster, confessed to investigators.
The three cases are still pending in the court system.
