Police: Woman living in Fort Lauderdale caught running prostitution fronts in 2 counties

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Detectives accused a 46-year-old woman who lives in Fort Lauderdale of running prostitution fronts in Broward and Martin counties, deputies announced on Tuesday.

Broward deputies arrested Wanxin Li on Thursday after an anonymous tip received in March prompted an investigation into alleged crimes at an apartment where she lives in Fort Lauderdale, and at businesses she owns.

Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched the location for WLXY and Oriental Healthy Center in Oakland Park, at 1545 E. Oakland Park Blvd., and her first-floor apartment at 2841 NE 33 Court, police said.

Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched the Natural Fresh spa in Stuart at 1690 NW Federal Highway, and found out two women had been living there, police said.

State corporation records show Li was also associated with Nature Industrial at 1149 N. Federal Highway, in Fort Lauderdale, and Massage Best, which was active from 2016 to 2020 and was registered to a Port St. Lucie address.

Prosecutors filed the Broward County case against Li on Friday. She was facing charges of money laundering, felony committing prostitution, and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution.

Broward County Circuit Judge Barbara R. Duffy was presiding over the case, records show.
