Police officers evacuate cargo building at Miami International Airport

Air France cargo building evacuates for over 3 hours

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police officers evacuated a cargo building on Friday afternoon at Miami International Airport.

Police officers were investigating a suspicious item at the Air France cargo building, according to Greg Chin, Miami-Dade Aviation’s communications director.

A K-9 alerted law enforcement to the item at about 5:30 p.m. The Miami-Dade Police Department gave the “all clear” to return to the building at about 9 p.m.
