Authorities searching for armed robber who stole cash from 2 mini-marts in Florida City

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities asked for the public’s help Wednesday with identifying an armed robber who stole cash from two mini-mart stores in Florida City nearly two weeks ago.

Detectives said the first robbery was reported around 8:45 p.m. on July 6 at El Charrito Mart, located at 636 West Palm Drive.

The second robbery was reported around 10 p.m. on July 8 at the Chevron Gas/Mini Mart, located at 893 West Palm Drive.

According to Florida City police, the man in the pictures at the top of the page was armed with a gun during the two armed robberies and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money from both registers.

Authorities said the armed man entered the stores, went behind the counters and removed money from the registers.

He was then seen fleeing on foot following the robberies, according to detectives.
