Authorities from the Miami-Dade Police Department said Florida City police had already detained Daylet Uribazo Hernandez for setting fire to a gas pump when they responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, investigators met with Florida City police, who said that officers responded to the Orion Krome Xpress gas station, located at 1460 N. Krome Ave., where Uribazo Hernandez had used a cigarette lighter to set fire to one of the pumps.

According to the arrest report, the gas station was crowded with patrons and employees, who shouted at the suspect.

A security guard who worked at the location took photographs of Uribazo Hernandez and immediately dialed 911, the report stated. This marked the third time that Uribazo Hernandez attempted to set one of the gas pumps ablaze at that location, authorities said.

Police said Hernandez then proceeded southbound along North Krome Avenue, wearing a light-colored hospital gown, a black sports bra and black shorts.

According to investigators, CCTV footage confirmed her presence around 4:30 p.m. at the 7-Eleven gas station on Krome Avenue.

Police confirmed Uribazo Hernandez ignited rags at the base of pump number 6, even as customers were actively fueling their vehicles at neighboring pumps.

Investigators said the fire caused minor damage, but an employee promptly shut down the fuel pumps and extinguished the flames using a fire extinguisher.

Police detained Uribazo Hernandez a short time later.

Police said she appeared intoxicated and fell asleep before being read her Miranda Rights or making any statements.

According to detectives, due to the presence of patrons and employees at both gas station locations during the arson attempts, Hernandez is facing two counts of attempted felony murder and first-degree arson charges.

Court records show Uribazo Hernandez was previously arrested by Miami-Dade police on an arson charge and an ongoing court case for similar offenses.

According to jail records, she was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where she is being held without bond.
