Drug investigation centers around at least 2 boats at Haulover Marina

HAULOVER MARINA, Fla. – A drug investigation was underway Sunday night at Haulover Marina in Miami-Dade County, centering around at least two boats.

A source told Local 10 News that the investigation led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection involves cocaine, but how much of it is something that has yet to be confirmed by officials.

At least one person has been detained at this point and was spotted in the back of an SUV Sunday night.

Local 10 News reporter Terrell Forney also saw agents tearing apart some areas around those docked boats. They were seen tearing out pieces of the boat and parts of the seats, looking for more possible drugs.

They even had their canines out on the boat, sniffing around for more traces of drugs. But again, at this point, all of this is still under investigation.

Although one person was seen being detained, agents have not confirmed if any arrests have actually been made.
