MIAMI – A man was injured Sunday night in a shooting in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, authorities confirmed Monday.

The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. at a home in the area of Northwest 65th Street and 10th Avenue.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene Monday morning as there were still multiple crime scene vans and a mobile command unit parked in the area.

Detectives confirmed that one man appeared to have been shot multiple times.

Paramedics rushed him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. His condition has not yet been released, however authorities confirmed that he was conscious and alert when he was being transported to the hospital.

Neighbors told Local 10′s Trent Kelly Monday that they heard multiple gunshots.

“Three shots – pa, pa, pa,” one woman who lives nearby said. “We wake up and when we looking, we see the police is over here.”

Officers and crime scene technicians spent more than 12 hours at the scene before towing away a blue car, which appeared to have a bullet hole in the front windshield.

Investigators said they are still looking into a possible motive for the shooting.

“Everyday is shooting too much – mucho gangs,” one neighbor said.

No arrests have been made.
