MIAMI – A Fourth of July vacation was ruined for a group of over a hundred Frontier Airlines passengers at Miami International Airport.
Police had to be called in to control the crowd of travelers who were understandably very angry.
They were on a flight originally scheduled to arrive from Cancun on Sunday.
Passengers who called Local 10 News said they were delayed for hours until they were left stranded in Cancun, and when they finally got to Miami on Monday, their luggage was nowhere to be found.
“I know unfortunately things happen, but come on, the airline needs to take some responsibility,” said passenger Freddy Betancourt.
Passenger Gonzalo Leon was asked how he thinks the airline should respond.
“Well first of all, they only compensation the airline has offered us for this entire situation, was a $100 in credit that we actually have to use on a flight within the next three months,” he said. “So not only aren’t any of us ever going to use that, because why would we ever fly with them again, but we’re probably not going to get compensated for this. Despite all of our complaints, they’re probably all going to fall on deaf ears.”
Late Monday afternoon, passengers began to update Local 10 News that most, if not all of the bags, had been returned.
Local 10 News reached out to Frontier Airlines for comment but had not heard back at the time this story was published.
