Deputies identify man killed during Pompano Beach shooting

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies identified a 35-year-old man who was shot on Saturday as Donelle Hunter. Deputies announced on Monday that he later died at the hospital.

Hunter was shot in his Pompano Beach neighborhood at about 6:20 p.m., along Northwest 17 Terrace, north of Seventh Street and south of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel took Hunter to Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach where he died, according to BSO deputies.

Detective John Curcio was asking anyone with information about the case to call 954-321-4212 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

Detective Gino Parram was also asking the public for help solving another shooting that injured two men at about 6:25 p.m., on Friday, in Pompano Beach, at 251 S. Dixie Highway W. He released surveillance video of a suspect.
