BSO releases photo of suspect sought in fatal Pompano Beach shooting

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office released a surveillance image Monday of a man who they believe is responsible for a fatal shooting last week in Pompano Beach.

The shooting was reported at 6:24 p.m. Friday at 251 S. Dixie Highway West.

According to BSO spokesman Carey Codd, deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

BSO Homicide detectives are now investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

Codd said the suspect was last seen walking westbound on Southwest Second Place from South Dixie Highway. He said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
