According to the suspect’s arrest report, Yacov Jacques Levi, 47, of Miami Beach, tried to steal a Boucher Brothers Jet Ski, valued at $10,000, that was parked on the shoreline.

Police said a manager and employee of Boucher Brothers told Levi to get away from the Jet Ski as he unsuccessfully tried to get on it and then push it in the water.

Levi then grabbed and broke a paddleboard paddle that belongs to Boucher Brothers and struck the manager in the back of the head, authorities said.

According to the report, Levi got into the water as officers arrived and refused to come out, sticking up his middle fingers at the officers.

Police said a Miami Beach police marine unit also responded to the scene and Levi threw his watch at the officers onboard the boat, but struck the boat instead.

He also stuck his middle fingers up at the officers on the boat, the report stated.

Police said Levi took his swimming shorts off at one point, becoming completely naked in the water, and splashed the officers and threw sand at them.

Levi is also accused of placing his hands on his groin area and making lewd gestures while in the presence of beachgoers, including children.

Several people got out of the water or left the beach altogether due to his actions, authorities said.

According to the arrest report, two Good Samaritans tried to help police remove Levi from the water and were struck by Levi in the process.

Levi resisted arrest by kicking and swinging his arms, authorities said.

One officer eventually punched him in the face to gain control of him, the arrest report stated.

According to the report, once detained, Levi gave police a false name and Social Security number.

He was arrested on charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, grand theft, resisting an officer with violence, aggravated battery, providing a false name after arrest, lewd and lascivious behavior, resisting an officer without violence and assault on a police officer/firefighter or intake officer.
