FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – An unattended bag led to quite a scare at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday night.
According to authorities, it was around 6:30 p.m. when deputies were alerted to the bag which had been left in the lower level of Terminal 1.

The baggage claim area, and people in the vicinity, were evacuated by authorities as a precaution, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Traffic was rerouted to the upper level of the airport, which is normally only for departing flights.
The all clear was given around 9 p.m.
It is not known if any incoming or outgoing flights were impacted as a result of the evacuation.
