FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale High School was placed on lockdown Monday morning due to a shooting threat, authorities confirmed.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, the school, located at 1600 NE Fourth Ave., was immediately placed on lockdown while officers cleared each building.

“So far nothing suspicious has been located,” the police department confirmed on Twitter. “We are investigating the source and legitimacy of the threat.”
Police confirmed shortly after 10:30 a.m. that the lockdown had been lifted.
