ISLAMORADA, Fla. – Monroe County deputies arrested one of the county’s firefighters Monday evening after authorities said a parking lot argument turned physical in the Upper Keys.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Adam Linhardt said deputies responded to the 85000 block of the Overseas Highway in Islamorada at around 7:30 p.m. after getting a report of a disturbance.

Linhardt said a witness reported that Shelby Bosserman, 31, punched another woman “multiple times” and slammed her head against a vehicle.
The victim, also 31, “had lacerations to her face, arms and hands” and was taken to Baptist Health Mariners Hospital in Tavernier, Linhardt said.
A sheriff’s office news release doesn’t specify whether Bosserman knew the other woman.
On Tuesday, a county spokesperson confirmed Bosserman is an employee of Monroe County Fire Rescue and said a meeting to determine her employment status was in the process of being scheduled.
According to jail records, Bosserman works out of Big Coppitt Key.
She’s scheduled to be arraigned on a misdemeanor battery charge March 15.
