Police said Runge pulled out a knife and stabbed the man once in the abdomen and twice in the torso.

They said Runge then stole the victimā€™s cellphone and silver chain, which he was wearing at the time.

The report states that the victim got into his car and drove home, then called 911 after realizing the extent of his wounds.

Miami police later took Runge into custody after an unrelated incident.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, Runge faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.
