HIALEAH, Fla. – A man is in custody after leading officers on a long pursuit all the way to his house on Wednesday.
Miami-Dade police officers said they followed the man’s dark-colored SUV from south Miami-Dade all the way north to Hialeah.
Police said the driver parked in front of his house on West 60th Street and went inside as SWAT team members arrived at his door.
Officers blocked off the neighborhood with police tape and then negotiated with the man.
Less than an hour later, the man walked out of the home and surrendered.
The reason for the initial pursuit is unclear and the man’s identity has not been released.
