AVENTURA, Fla. – Aventura police are looking for a pair of thieves caught on camera stealing a $77,000 diamond necklace from a department store in the Aventura Mall.
The crime happened in December at the mall’s Bloomingdale’s store and was discovered in mid-January when employees were doing inventory.
The video shows a woman handing a man a tool to hook the 22.9 carat necklace.
In the video, the man slides the “hook” in between the opening of the display case and, on the video, the thief can be seen taking his time to get the high-priced jewelry out of the case.
