Authorities said firefighters responded to the blaze at 1191 NW 40th St. around 6 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a single-story duplex.

One man was found on the floor with burns to his torso and arms.

According to the arrest report, Felder went to a Valero Gas Station at 3801 NW 12th Ave. and purchased $1 worth of gas.

Police said when Felder returned home, he got into a verbal argument with another victim in reference to defecating in his room, according to the report.

Detectives said Felder then poured the gas on the man and lit him on fire, the report said.

Police said a family of four, including a baby from the adjacent unit, was displaced but are OK.

Felder was arrested by the MDPD Domestic Violence Apprehension Team and taken to a nearby jail for processing.

He is facing seven counts of premeditated murder, one count of arson and one count of child neglect without great bodily harm.
