PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard announced in a tweet Wednesday that the search for the missing 9 Cuban migrants off Lake Worth Beach has been suspended.
According to the Coast Guard, “crews searched 2,485 miles with no signs of distress.”

The agency tweeted that crews were searching for survivors on Tuesday off Lake Worth Beach after a boat with Cuban migrants capsized.
A good Samaritan rescued a survivor on Sunday who reported he had made the voyage from Cuba with nine others.
“Our condolences go out to the loved ones of those lost at sea,” said a Coast Guard official.
