BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Broward County woman faces an aggravated battery charge after deputies accused her and her 11-year-old daughter of beating a 7-Eleven employee Tuesday night.

Local 10 News is not naming 32-year-old Deonsha Bellamy’s daughter, who faces juvenile charges, because she is underage.

According to a Broward Sheriff’s Office report, deputies on patrol witnessed Bellamy and her daughter beating the clerk at the chain’s store at Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 27th Avenue, in the Roosevelt Gardens area of unincorporated central Broward County.

The worker had a large bruise under her left eye, Deputy David Celis wrote in the report.

Deputies said that the altercation began after a verbal argument. The report doesn’t specify what the dispute was about.

Celis wrote that surveillance video shows the girl getting into a fighting stance as Bellamy began beating the employee, who said she didn’t know the duo, with a black stick used to hold the store’s bathroom key.

The report states that Bellamy threw the stick at the clerk, then the pair began “aggressively” striking her in the face with several punches and pulling her hair.

The 11-year-old also kicked the victim, Celis wrote.

The mother-daughter duo both face charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct, while Bellamy also faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
