MIAMI – New video has surfaced of the social media model who was arrested in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.
Police body camera video shows Courtney Clenney pleading for help just days before Christian Obumseli was killed.
Police said Clenney and Obumseli had had a very violent and toxic relationship. Officers were called to their Miami apartment on multiple occasions.
Just two days before investigators say Clenney stabbed Obumseli to death inside their luxury apartment, they were back on site with Clenney telling them he was stalking her.
In police body camera video from Friday, April 1, One Paraiso building employees called Miami police in regards to a domestic disturbance between Clenney, an OnlyFans model, and Obumseli, her boyfriend.
Clenney is in the lobby, and the employee is the one who called police. That employee told the officers, “Her boyfriend comes charging towards her and we try to get in the middle of it.”
Clenney is visibly upset. She’s on the phone with her dad while telling police Obumseli is stalking her.
“Right now, I have not always been a victim, right now I am a freaking victim in this situation. I’m scared to go downstairs and walk my dogs,” she says in the video, before adding, “I want a restraining order against Christian Obumseli.”
Officers checked Clenney’s apartment and Obumseli wasn’t there. They let Clenney know that if he’s been living in her apartment and has belongings there, they cannot kick him out, also informing her that she’s not being clear on what she wants.
“You want this person to completely disappear from your life. At the same time, you have him here in your apartment for two months with a ton of stuff in here,” an officer says.
“I know,” Clenney replied.
After Clenney went back to her apartment, officers then went to the employee who made the original call, telling him she never disclosed that there was violence that particular night.
“When she came down, he went charging at her,” the employee told the officers.
“She didn’t mention none of that until she says she wants to do something about it -- that’s when we step in, that’s criminal activity -- but she needs to mention something about that. Unfortunately, we can’t do anything,” the officer said.
Authorities say Clenney’s story of self-defense is inconsistent. She is facing a second-degree murder charge.
The Obumseli family attorney says that this video is self-serving and that Clenney is now trying to rewrite history.
Her attorneys say that Clenney was failed by the system as a woman seeking help from an abusive relationship.
