TAMARAC, Fla. – A double shooting in Broward County is under investigation.
It happened Saturday at approximately 7:17 p.m. along Hampton Hills Boulevard in Tamarac, inside a community just off Commercial Boulevard.
Deputies responded to the area and found two men who had been shot.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital but officials did not provide an update on their condition.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said one suspect was detained at the scene, and that person has since been arrested.
Deputies identified 30-year-old Basil Nelson as the man taken into custody.
He’s facing several serious charges including attempted felony murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
