Anti-Semitic and racist messages of hate spray painted in Weston community

WESTON, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident of hate in Weston.

Deputies say someone spray painted racist and anti-Semitic graffiti in several areas of the Weston Hills Country Club community early Wednesday morning.

A number of deputies were in the community on Thursday speaking with residents.

Weston Mayor Margaret “Peggy” Brown released a statement that read, in part:

“I am alarmed and saddened by the actions of the misguided individual or individuals who vandalized these areas of the Weston Hills community. That the graffiti included antisemitic elements, done during Yom Kippur, the most important holiday of the Jewish faith, makes it all that more appalling.”

Authorities are continuing to investigate and discover who is responsible for the hateful messages.

Anyone with information is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
