PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A massive Amazon delivery facility in Pembroke Park, which was open less than a year, is now a ghost town.
Pembroke Park Mayor Geoffrey Jacobs said he spoke to higher ups at Amazon and said he was told that the facility has been shut down for renovations.

The 269,000-square-foot warehouse, which is located at 3375 SW 24th St., was designed to facilitate about 1,000 trips per day.
According to CNBC, a logistics firm that tracks Amazon’s distribution network reported the company closed nearly 45 facilities earlier this month and delayed the opening of another 25 fulfillment centers.
It appears the Pembroke Park facility is part of this action.
Local 10 News has reached out to Amazon numerous times, but has not received a response.
There is currently another Amazon fulfillment center in Opa-locka, which opened in 2019.
