MIRAMAR, Fla. – Miramar police are investigating after a box truck struck a pedestrian Wednesday morning.
Police confirmed that the victim was struck by the truck in the area of Red Road and Miramar Parkway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver remained at the scene.
All lanes south of Miramar Parkway on Red Road are closed at this time due to the ongoing investigation. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
