Miami shooting leaves 1 male injured, police say

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person injured, authorities confirmed.

The shooting was reported around 1:20 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Northwest 12th Street.

According to Officer Kenia Fallat, a spokeswoman for the police department, officers arrived at the scene to find a Black male suffering from a gunshot wound.

She said he was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by Miami Fire Rescue in stable condition.

The victim’s age and identity were not immediately known.

No other details were immediately released.
