MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A young boy from Iowa who survived brain cancer had his wish come true and spent the day exploring Zoo Miami’s reptiles with Ron Magill.
Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, nine-year-old Brayton Kuhse spent the day hanging out with turtles, snakes and giraffes.
“This was amazing. It was his dream and it’s more than I could have ever hoped for,” said Katie Kuhse, Brayton’s mother.
Brayton was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2019. He is now in remission and in good heath.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 13,000 life-changing wishes since 1983, for children who have critical illnesses.
