LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who were involved in an altercation last week outside a gas station in Lauderdale Lakes, which turned physical.
Cellphone video released Wednesday by BSO shows part of the incident that occurred around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
According to BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, deputies were called to the RaceTrac gas station at 3290 W. Oakland Park Blvd. regarding a robbery that occurred outside the business.
The video shows a man in a yellow shirt talking to a woman who was pumping gas into her car before he approached another woman who was recording him.
“Don’t try to steal my phone, sir,” the woman says, before the phone is knocked out of her hand.
Grossman said the woman ran to get her phone and the man grabbed her by her hair and began to pull her.
She was eventually able to get away from him and retrieve her phone, which the man had tossed, Grossman said.
Another video shows a man arguing with the same suspect in the yellow shirt and another man.
“My name is Kareem Ali. Don’t f*** with me,” the man in the yellow shirt tells him.
The two men tell the person recording the video to “get out of their space,” and he responds by telling them, “Ain’t no one come up to none of ya’ll. Ya’ll the ones who are coming up to me.”
Further details about what led up to the altercation were not immediately released.
