Support Surfside: $4.9M in donations to be distributed among 213 victims

SURFSIDE, Fla. – The Support Surfside committee approved $4.9 million will be distributed among 213 applicants affected by the collapse of the Champlain Towers South Condominium.

The Miami Foundation, the Coral Gables Community Foundation, and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation set up the nonprofit organization after the June 14 tragedy.

The National Compassion Fund, a subsidiary of the National Center for Victims of Crime, is tasked with the distribution of the funds.
