HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Home surveillance video captures thieves as they make away with a white truck and trailer filled with lawn equipment. The crooks stole more than just tools and a vehicle — this is how Boris Carmona makes his living.
“I saved my money and I tried to buy my stuff and God provided me with my business and my customers,” Carmona said.
Once a carpenter, Carmona had dreams of owning his own business, and during the pandemic, his dream came true with Carmona Lawn Services. Unfortunately, in an instant, it was all stripped away.
“I don’t know what I am going to do,” he said. “I just called the police.”
Carmona said he was asleep inside his home when, just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, thieves circled his Hollywood home in the area of Dixie Highway and Sheridan Street.
In seconds, the thieves broke into his vehicle. They then drove off as a dark blue car followed close behind.
Carmona hopes he will get at least some of the equipment back so he can provide for his family.
“I just pray to god every day, provide back all my stuff,” he said.
