BOGOTA, Colombia – Three members of Fuerza y Fé, a Venezuelan nonprofit organization, said they are hiking with undocumented migrants to help give others perspective about the ongoing diaspora.
Ali Velazquez, Angel Villega and Jencquel Hernandez packed a few things in their backpacks and they were in Cali, Colombia, when they shared details about their plan.
Velazquez said they have seen poverty and desperation. He will be sharing pictures and videos. His goal, he said, is to help the international community learn about the needs of the refugees.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, there are 5.4 million refugees and migrants from Venezuela worldwide.
