‘The One When They Went On a Cruise’ to set sail from Fort Lauderdale

Celebrity Cruises offers ‘Friends’ themed cruise

PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. – “Friends” fans will soon be able to hit the high seas on a cruise dedicated to the popular 90′s sitcom.

The best part for South Florida fans is that the cruise will depart right from our own backyard.

The seven-day sailing aboard the Celebrity Equinox will depart from Port Everglades in May 2022. It will make stops in Key West, Cozumel, Mexico and George Town in the Cayman Islands.

While cast members of the show will not be on board, there will be plenty of “Friends” themed activities for guests, like trivia games, costume contests, and cooking demonstrations.

Rates for this themed cruise start at just under $1,700 a person and only 500 guests will be able to book the trip.

The Celebrity Edge will be the first to depart from Port Everglades later this month, after cruise lines have been dry-docked since the pandemic started last March.

Guests 16 and older aboard a Celebrity Cruise, will be required to show proof of receiving their COVID-19 vaccination. They must also fill out a mandatory health questionnaire before boarding.
