WILTON MANORS, Fla. – A man accused of attacking a woman in Wilton Manors is facing new charges.
A judge in Broward County increased the charges against Phillip Siegel to attempted murder on Saturday.
According to police, the victim, Maria Krasnova, was asked by her neighbor, Siegel, and his roommate to help them move furniture.
She was then struck, unprovoked, by a 30-inch metal bar.
It happened on May 1 at Wilton House on Andrews Avenue in Wilton Manors.
Siegel also allegedly attacked Krasnova’s boyfriend, who confronted Siegel about the incident when she ran to her apartment for safety.
A GoFundMe page was created to help Krasnova with medical expenses, and the link can be found by clicking here.
