Florida health officials reported an additional 1,878 COVID-19 cases and 49 more resident deaths connected to the virus Thursday.
It comes a day after the state reported 1,234 new cases Wednesday, which was the smallest increase since late September.

Florida is now up to 2,329,867 cases since the start of the outbreak, with 36,973 resident deaths.
Another 744 non-residents have died in the state with COVID, according to the latest health department data.
There have been 95,607 total resident hospitalizations attributed to the novel coronavirus in the state, but Florida has reached its lowest COVID hospitalization mark in a year.
Deaths verified in the past day include 15 in Miami-Dade County, two in Palm Beach County and one in Monroe County.

At least 10,397,299 people have received COVID-19 vaccines in Florida, with 8,393,060 people in the state fully vaccinated.
The statewide positivity rate for yesterday’s testing was 3.15%.
