MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach Police said they chased down and arrested a drug suspect on busy South Beach.
Detectives said they witnessed 27-year-old Alexander Vazquez take part in a drug transaction on Wednesday. When officers went to arrest Vazquez, they said he took off running. He was eventually captured near Washington Avenue and 9th Street.

Officers said they seized a firearm and drugs when they arrested Vazquez. He was already out on bond for weapons and drug charges, and now faces several more felonies.
