Detectives investigate fatal shooting in Sunrise

SUNRISE, Fla. – A man shot another man several times killing him on Thursday night in Sunrise, police said.

According to Officer Otishia Browning-Smith, a spokeswoman for the Sunrise Police Department, detectives responded to a home near the intersection of Northwest 70th Avenue and Northwest 20th Court.

Fire Rescue personnel took the man to Broward Health Medical Center where a doctor pronounced him dead. As of midnight, on Thursday, detectives didn’t have a suspect in custody, police said.

Officers are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
