BROWNSVILLE, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning outside a corner store in Brownsville.
The shooting was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. outside The Heat Food Market at 5201 NW 27th Ave.
Sky 10 was above the scene as glass from the front door was scattered across the ground.
Police confirmed that a man was shot. They said he was taken to a local hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel, where he was pronounced dead. However, someone who identified themselves as a family member of the victim told Local 10 News that the victim has not died.
A motive for the shooting is unclear.
