AVENTURA, Fla. – Disturbing charges were filed against a South Florida veterinarian accused of possessing child pornography and sexually abusing a dog in his care.
The criminal complaint against Dr. Prentiss Madden is 15 pages long, with much of the contents extremely stomach turning.
They detail the thousands of files of child pornography the 40-year-old veterinarian was keeping in an online dropbox, and the videos and photos of sexual abuse he allegedly performed on dogs.
Pet owners who knew the doctor as kind and caring were stunned by what investigators said they uncovered.
Additional details have been made public after a federal judge Wednesday morning ordered Madden’s indictment be unsealed.
Among the disgusting and disturbing allegations are conversations he has with other people, where he brags about his sexual activity with dogs.
Investigators were able to determine through the files’ digital footprints that some of the photos and videos were filmed at his home.
Others were filmed at Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Aventura, where Madden worked as medical director.
Staff there told Local 10 News he was fired two weeks ago.
