Fort Lauderdale police release photo in pedestrian hit-and-run on Davie Boulevard

Fort Lauderdale police released a photo of a car they believe is responsible for a pedestrian hit and run on Davie Boulevard. (Fort Lauderdale Police Department)

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ A man was struck and is in critical condition after a car hit him. The vehicle then left the scene at Southwest 30th Avenue and Davie Boulevard, according to Fort Lauderdale police.

At approximately 7:29 p.m. Sunday evening, FLPD responded and Fire Rescue was called to transport the victim to Broward Health Medical Center.

FLPD obtained a photo of the vehicle believed to be involved in the hit-and-run. Investigators describe the vehicle as an older model (possibly 1997-2005) gold, Toyota Corolla. The vehicle should have heavy front end damage and the right, front hubcap is missing.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Davie Boulevard and immediately following the crash, the suspect vehicle turned southbound on Southwest 29th Terrace.
