SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A pick-up truck with one person inside ended up pinned underneath a semi-truck Sunday afternoon, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
The accident happened at approximately 4:45 p.m. near Southwest 88 Street and Krome Avenue.

According to fire rescue, the driver was trapped inside and had to be extricated from the pinned truck. They were airlifted with traumatic injuries to Memorial Hospital West trauma center.
The cause of the accident and the driver’s condition is not known at this time.
