Florida’s health department confirmed 1,700 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, which is the smallest day-to-day increase of cases in the state since Oct. 12, when 1,533 cases were reported.
An additional 147 resident deaths were reported.

The state has now verified 1,910,921 COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began and 30,999 resident deaths, according to health department data.
Another 557 non-residents have died in Florida from COVID-19.
Deaths verified in the past day include 20 in Miami-Dade County, nine in Broward County and 23 in Palm Beach County.
There have been at least 79,426 resident hospitalizations attributed to the virus in the state.

At least 3,034,636 people have been vaccinated in Florida, with 1,691,213 people in the state getting both shots that are needed. Miami-Dade has had 327,340 people vaccinated, Broward has had 259,431 and Monroe 11,533, according to the latest numbers posted by the state.
The statewide positivity rate for yesterday’s testing was 6.32%.
