HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police are searching for a shooter after a man was found lying in the middle of a road off Hollywood Boulevard early Sunday morning suffering from a gunshot wound.
Hollywood police said they were notified of a shooting around 2:28 a.m. in the 100 block of North 24th Avenue. When they arrived, they found the victim in the roadway.
In a preliminary investigation, police said there had been a dispute between two people and the suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
The victim was transported by Hollywood Fire Rescue to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died.
Hollywood Police Homicide Unit is continuing the investigation. The victim’s name has not been released.
