Florida reported an increase of 1,533 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, along with 48 additional resident deaths.
The state is now up to 736,024 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15,412 resident deaths, according to the health departmentās dashboard. At least 187 non-residents have also died in Florida, and the state has reported 46,015 hospitalizations attributed to the novel coronavirus since the start of the outbreak.

The statewide positivity rate from yesterdayās testing was 4.28%, according to the health department.
The newly confirmed deaths include six from Miami-Dade County, two from Broward, and three from Palm Beach County.
Floridaās health department last week released a second batch of data on COVID-19 infections at Florida schools statewide.
