FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – A funnel cloud was spotted over Florida City on an otherwise sunny Friday afternoon.
Local 10 viewer Casey Watkins was able to take a picture of the weather disturbance at around 2:30 p.m. At that specific time, a cell of thunderstorms was moving across the Florida City area.
Watkins said that the funnel cloud moved up and down, but never actually touched the ground.
After days and days of poor weather around South Florida, Friday had turned into one of the sunniest days of the week, making a funnel cloud sighting all that more surprising.
