MIAMI – The Royal Bahamas Defence Force vessels were at the U.S. Navy's Truman Harbor pier in Key West on Wednesday.
While Hurricane Matthew continued its Atlantic voyage over the Bahamas, Key West was not under threat.
To avoid the Category 4 storm, cruise ships also stopped in Key West instead of the Bahamas.
Carnival Elation and Royal Caribbean's Majesties of the Seas anchored on Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Keys News Bureau.
