MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – The Neighborhood Fish Farm and Pet Store in Southwest Miami-Dade sells hundreds of tropical fish from around the world.
Their ponds, aquariums and tanks have a rich variety of fish including angelfish, African cichlids, American cichlids, goldfish, koi, tetras, gouramis, oranda, barbs, sharks, libearers and guppies.
On Saturday, Miami-Dade firefighters found a lot of them dead after extinguishing a fire at the popular farm at 12150 SW 45 St.
The fire happened hours after the store announced to their followers on Facebook that there were lots of new arrivals.
The farm also has delicate water lilies in pink, red, white, blue and purple, and drift wood to decorate ponds and aquariums.
Records show the registered officers as Richard and Nancy Bradwell. The cause of the fire remained under investigation Saturday afternoon.
