MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two dogs were rescued after a fire erupted Thursday morning at a townhome in Kendall, authorities said.

The fire was reported about 10 a.m. at 8540 SW 156th Court.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said all residents were safely evacuated and a dog was rescued from the home as soon as firefighters went inside.

Authorities said the residents told them a second dog was still inside.

While other units began extinguishing the flames, another unit searched for the dog, who was found and given oxygen. 

No one was injured in the fire, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
