CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida woman killed when her SUV went off the road, overturning several times, had fallen asleep behind the wheel as she was heading home from working an overnight nursing shift, her husband says.

WJXT reports Caitlin Magliochetti was on the road just after 8 a.m. Saturday when her Hyundai Santa Fe went off the road. Troopers say she overcorrected, sending the SUV into a ditch.

Hector Magliochetti, Caitlin's husband, says his wife had worked two straight overnight shifts in the cardiac unit at St. Vincent's South hospital in Jacksonville.

The Magliochetti's have five daughters, ages 11 months to 10-years-old.

"Going to sleep is hard. I wake up a lot. I sleep with the girls -- I let them sleep next to me." said Hector.

The family had faced hard times in the past and needed assistance from Habitat for Humanity. Hector says Caitlin still volunteered for the organization even after the family had gotten back on their feet.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses.
