Pembroke Pines crash leaves 3 teens injured

Driver suffers life-threatening injuries, passengers suffer serious injuries

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Three teenagers were injured in a car crash Saturday night in Pembroke Pines.

According to Sgt. Adam Feiner the 10 p.m. crash was at the intersection of South Dykes Road and Southwest Fifth Street.

"It appears likely that excessive speed might be a contributing factor of this crash," Feiner said adding that "so too does the likelihood that drugs or alcohol" were involved.

Herbert Jiron, 18, was driving a 2003 Acura southbound on South Dykes Road, according to a report. A 16-year-old girl and Dylan Pintado, 18, were the passengers in the car.

Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue took the teens to Memorial Regional Hospital. Jiron suffered life-threatening injuries. The girl and Pintado were seriously injured.
