When the firefighters arrived at 171 SW 70 Terr., they reported heavy smoke was coming from the front door of the home, and there were flames blowing out of a bedroom window.

Firefighters said the fire didn't spread outside of the bedroom, but there was smoke damage throughout the home. No one was injured.

The Broward County Chapter of the Red Cross was helping the residents, who were homeless after authorities deemed the home unsafe. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
